5 things you can share on social media if you’re in a creative slump

As a business owner, web developer or marketer, you’ll fully appreciate the importance of social media.

But, knowing you need to keep your social media profiles updated and having a slew of relevant content ready to go are two different things entirely. If you’re feeling a little stuck about what to share, here are a few easy options that should make the process of scheduling this week’s social media posts a little easier for you…

1. Link to an older piece of your own content
Very often, businesses fall into the trap of neglecting their older content in favour of newer creations. While you of course want to share your latest blog post, realistically you won’t have a new piece each time you need to update your Facebook feed or Twitter account. It’s all too common to shy away from sharing a link to an older blog which you have already shared previously on your social media profile. That’s a big mistake as not everyone will have seen the original post, especially if you often acquire new fans and followers.

Only sharing a link to a blog once severely limits the visibility of that blog and as a business, means you aren’t extracting maximum value from that resource. It’s simply left to grow dusty in your archives.
Go back through older blog posts and identify articles you haven’t shared for a while that can be included on your calendar this week.

2. Retweet a customer question and share the answer
Social media users are so comfortable with brands on social media – and using social media itself – that they will often ask questions on posts or use social media comments to share their experiences.

If you’ve been asked a question on social media lately, share that question with an answer. You can create a graphic using a free service such as Canva to add visual interest to the post. Voila! For just a few minute’s work, you’ve created a unique and useful social media update that ticks off update from this week’s required quota.

3. Share a review
We know that online reviews are incredibly important to consumers which means that they are really important for your business too. Pick out a recent review and turn that into a social media post in just a few minutes. You could simply copy and paste the text or, you could create an image using a tool like Canva. Easy!

4. Take a behind the scenes picture to share
Most customers don’t ever really get to see what goes on behind the scenes in a business. If you have a big delivery arriving and being unpacked, a machine on the go, a staff birthday or are just having cake Friday in the office to celebrate the end of the week, take a picture and post to your social media feed. This is a great way to inject some personality into your social profile and gives customers a chance to get to know you.

5. Ask a question
Another quick and easy way to fill in a gap on your social calendar is to ask a question. Depending on the social network you could use a survey or poll feature and as your followers for their input on something.

Starting a new business can be time-consuming and difficult. The first challenge is to find or build a great product or service that your customers need. You will also need to create a brand, develop marketing collateral, design a website, find customers, and develop a range of new skills. You will most likely have to hire a team of experts to help you get started.

Your homepage is your agency’s first handshake. If it’s unclear, cluttered, or generic—you’re losing potential clients in seconds. Here's what your homepage actually needs to convert visitors into leads. 1. A Headline That Tells Them What You Do “Helping local businesses grow with mobile apps and digital tools.” Make it specific, client-focused, and benefit-driven. If it could apply to anyone, it applies to no one. 2. A Strong Subheadline That Builds Trust “Trusted by 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 20 countries.” This is your social proof shortcut. Numbers work. So do logos and testimonials. 3. A Visual That Shows the Result Use mockups, screenshots, or lifestyle photos. Help visitors see what they’ll get—a mobile app, a dashboard, a website, a client smiling. 4. A Short List of Benefits (Not Features) Launch your digital presence fast No tech skills required Support and tools included Keep it tight. Think “what’s in it for me?” from the client’s point of view. 5. A Clear Call to Action (CTA) “Book a free call” “Get your launch pack” “See what’s possible” CTAs should stand out visually and be repeated 2–3 times on the page. 6. A Simple Contact Form or Button Make it easy to get in touch or book. Remove friction. Don’t ask for more than name, email, and one question. Pro tip: You don’t need to design from scratch. The Eazi-Business Business-in-a-Box gives you ready-made homepage templates with proven structure, persuasive copy blocks, and branding flexibility. Use our pre-built website framework to launch with confidence and convert faster.
