What do we know about Apple One?

Diving into Apple’s new subscription service one month on

On 30th October, Apple launched Apple One, its new bundle subscription service designed to offer better value to customers. Great for anyone who uses multiple Apple services, here is everything you need to know about the new subscription package.
What is Apple One?
Apple One is a bundle subscription service that rolls six Apple services into one: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Fitness+, and iCloud storage. This makes its services more affordable and its subscriptions much easier to manage, allowing users to get more, for less.
It seems that simplicity was the key driving force behind Apple One’s development, with Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue saying, “Apple One makes enjoying Apple subscription services easier than ever, including Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud, and more. With Apple One, you can access the best of Apple entertainment across all your favourite devices with one simple subscription.”

There are three different plans available:
- Individual: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 50GB iCloud storage (£14.95 per month)

- Family: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 200GB iCloud storage, with the ability to share with up to five additional family members (£19.95 per month)

- Premier: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Fitness+, and 2TB iCloud storage, with the ability to share with up to five additional family members (£29.95 per month)

How much money can you save with Apple One?
The plan you choose affects how much money an Apple One subscription will save you. If opting for the Individual plan, subscribers will save around £6 by using Apple One rather than subscribing to all four services individually. Savings for the Family plan are similar, saving subscribers around £8.
Premier subscribers receive the best value for money. If paying for all Apple subscription products, you’d be spending around £25 more, equating to a savings of £300 per year.
How does Apple One work?
As with other bundle subscription products, users are charged for Apple One on a monthly basis. The service is free to cancel at any time, or you can upgrade or downgrade your plan as required.
Currently, Apple is offering a 30-day free trial to all its members. However, the free trial only applies to services not trialled before. For example, if you are already an Apple Music user, you will not receive a free Apple Music trial.

To sign up for Apple One, head to the “Settings” on your iPhone, iPad, or any other Apple device, and select the “Subscription” menu. Click on the button that says “Get Apple One” to choose a plan and start a free trial. As this service only rolled out in October, there is limited access at the moment. However, all UK and US customers have access to all three plans.
