5 reasons you should have an event website

Ilya Nasedkin • 14 August 2018

For many companies, conferences and events are anticipated throughout the year. If event organisers are not analysing the results of the previous event, they’re likely planning the day’s activities down to the finest detail, from the first speaker to the table decor and everything in between.Did you know that making a separate website for any client’s event, no matter what type of occasion it might be, could improve attendance and profile, helping grow revenue? Here are just a few reasons why it’s worth suggesting an even microsite be designed for the next conference, seminar or exhibition…

1. Design The design is one of the most important things about a website, and having a dedicated event website means that you can display a little bit of creativity and individuality. While the branding and logo should remain the same as on the main site, you can have a little more fun with the rest of the event website's design. If the event usually has a particular theme, an events website is a great place to tease or showcase that theme before the occasion. 2. Shareability The beauty of an events website is that it’s highly shareable. Instead of just sending users to a few pages on the main website, being able to promote a whole site dedicated to one event on social media is great for gaining potential delegates and exhibitors. 3. Trackability Having event details on the main website means that inevitably your site visitors could get lost. With a dedicated event microsite, you can encourage a more intuitive user journey and see which pages are naturally leading traffic to event-specific conversions. You’ll also be able to see what isn’t working and fix it quickly without having the rest of the main website to contend with. 4. Showcase and show off Showcasing event speakers is a great way to incentivise delegates to come to your event. Make sure your event’s mini website design includes a gallery of previous speakers and event attendees. On the night, photography absolutely must be professional and detailed. 5. Tickets Exclusivity is essential for events. Make sure you create an event website that allows for discount codes and early-bird pricing. If your main site has absolutely nothing to do with eCommerce, a dedicated events website is sensible as it can be equipped with simple eCommerce functionality.

Your homepage is your agency’s first handshake. If it’s unclear, cluttered, or generic—you’re losing potential clients in seconds. Here's what your homepage actually needs to convert visitors into leads. 1. A Headline That Tells Them What You Do “Helping local businesses grow with mobile apps and digital tools.” Make it specific, client-focused, and benefit-driven. If it could apply to anyone, it applies to no one. 2. A Strong Subheadline That Builds Trust “Trusted by 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 20 countries.” This is your social proof shortcut. Numbers work. So do logos and testimonials. 3. A Visual That Shows the Result Use mockups, screenshots, or lifestyle photos. Help visitors see what they’ll get—a mobile app, a dashboard, a website, a client smiling. 4. A Short List of Benefits (Not Features) Launch your digital presence fast No tech skills required Support and tools included Keep it tight. Think “what’s in it for me?” from the client’s point of view. 5. A Clear Call to Action (CTA) “Book a free call” “Get your launch pack” “See what’s possible” CTAs should stand out visually and be repeated 2–3 times on the page. 6. A Simple Contact Form or Button Make it easy to get in touch or book. Remove friction. Don’t ask for more than name, email, and one question. Pro tip: You don’t need to design from scratch. The Eazi-Business Business-in-a-Box gives you ready-made homepage templates with proven structure, persuasive copy blocks, and branding flexibility. Use our pre-built website framework to launch with confidence and convert faster.
