Provide Services On-Demand in Minutes with an App

Rebecca Appleton • 20 July 2018

The trend for on-demand products and services is still steadily on the rise. With more people than ever turning to applications to make the most minor inconvenience that little bit easier, from cooking to travel to doing laundry, should your high street business consider using an app?

If the popularity of applications like Uber, which has transformed the way we use transportation and taxi services, is anything to go by, on-demand apps which give us the information we need quickly and efficiently are not going away any time soon. Such apps work beautifully for taxi services, as they can integrate with GPS and location devices so a customer can see exactly where their driver is, driver profiles, and star ratings increase trust and safety. Could these kinds of applications apply to your business?

Food and drink

Takeaway apps like Just Eat have been popular for decades, but new businesses like Deliveroo have revolutionised the takeaway industry. No longer content with any old take away food, Deliveroo enables customers to have restaurant quality meals delivered to their door. This is something that absolutely any high street restaurant can utilise to great effect, no matter what you sell. From homemade artisan sandwiches to tea and cake; as long as it can be delivered, you should have an app for it. We recommend university towns as a great place to start.

Shopping

Even if you’re just one boutique, an app can be a great way to showcase your products to your customers. The demand for handmade and unique clothing on online marketplace applications like Etsy means that people are always looking for that special new outfit. Simply create an e-commerce app that allows you to showcase your clothing with photography and interesting product descriptions. You could also offer an option for customers to pick up their clothes from your store free of charge.

Beauty services

A fabulous way to reach a wider audience, offering your beauty salon clientele an app would not only automate the booking process but could also encourage repeat customers. Whether you’re a large chain looking to expand or a salon just starting out, an app is a fantastic place to exhibit your skills.

An app would also be fantastic for offering customers a delivery service, Uber-style, for those who are looking for a little pampering at home. Investing in an app can also make booking and preparing for weddings and parties much easier.

Your homepage is your agency’s first handshake. If it’s unclear, cluttered, or generic—you’re losing potential clients in seconds. Here's what your homepage actually needs to convert visitors into leads. 1. A Headline That Tells Them What You Do “Helping local businesses grow with mobile apps and digital tools.” Make it specific, client-focused, and benefit-driven. If it could apply to anyone, it applies to no one. 2. A Strong Subheadline That Builds Trust “Trusted by 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 20 countries.” This is your social proof shortcut. Numbers work. So do logos and testimonials. 3. A Visual That Shows the Result Use mockups, screenshots, or lifestyle photos. Help visitors see what they’ll get—a mobile app, a dashboard, a website, a client smiling. 4. A Short List of Benefits (Not Features) Launch your digital presence fast No tech skills required Support and tools included Keep it tight. Think “what’s in it for me?” from the client’s point of view. 5. A Clear Call to Action (CTA) “Book a free call” “Get your launch pack” “See what’s possible” CTAs should stand out visually and be repeated 2–3 times on the page. 6. A Simple Contact Form or Button Make it easy to get in touch or book. Remove friction. Don’t ask for more than name, email, and one question. Pro tip: You don’t need to design from scratch. The Eazi-Business Business-in-a-Box gives you ready-made homepage templates with proven structure, persuasive copy blocks, and branding flexibility. Use our pre-built website framework to launch with confidence and convert faster.
