Platform Upgrade –sign, sealed and delivered!

As with all technology related products and businesses, standing still leads to stagnation and ultimately failure. This rings true in the mobile sphere where technological advancements such as new devices, upgraded operating systems or indeed wearable devices are all raising the bar for what is actually possible. Having the right tools for the job makes life much easier for all our partners in terms of giving them everything they need to satisfy the requirements of the modern day business owner. With that being said, the focus of todays blog is to highlight the many changes that have taken place behind the scenes with regards to our mobile app platform to take advantage of the changing technological landscape.

Since Apples introduction of the iOS7 operating system, our platform has now raised the benchmark for what is possible with an app for small/medium sized businesses. Some of the key features that have been upgraded include:

• Push Messages – geofencing, allowing businesses to target clients when they enter a certain area.
• Offline Caching – allowing users to download the app onto their device to view offline, such as on the train or on a plane.
• New Real Estate function – allowing property agents to advertise their properties within the app and also allowing quick listing population courtesy of a CSV upload.
• Social Engagement – giving the app user the option to comment on most tabs as well as increasing social integration opportunities.
• New Layouts – even more customisation options to really bring the app to life. This includes new layouts as well as sliding imagery motion.

The above points are just some of the upgrades that have taken place over recent months. The entire user interface has been upgraded and now takes full advantage of the iOS7 components, increasing user engagement and social integration opportunities.
