Mobile Marketing – Are you ready for the challenge?

With most business owners so engrossed with the operational aspects of their businesses, this is where you can make a tangible difference. Advising clients on a variety of download strategies from QR codes to simple word of mouth referrals can boost how the mobile app works for their business. Ultimately it comes down to how proactive the client is in promoting the mobile app to their customers as your role is in an advisory capacity.

• Step 3 – Monitoring the progress

Every successful mobile strategy needs a period of reflection and monitoring to assess the impact it is having on the clients business. For example, as a mobile marketing consultant for your client you will review the download numbers as well as measure a host of different metrics. It will also allow you to highlight areas where the mobile app is working, for example number of bookings made or pounds spent, as well as areas for improvement. This stage is crucial in making sure the mobile app is working for the client on a long term basis.

• Step 4 – Mobile expert

This is the point where you maximise your value to your clients. Having actioned the 3 preceding steps, at this point you advise the business owner on any remedial action that should be taken to really maximise mobile technology within their business. For instance, you may advise the client on additional download strategies or you may recommend a new feature to incorporate into their mobile app to further engage users. By taking this corrective approach you are able to ensure that the value of the mobile solution you have devised for your client is experienced over the long term.
