4 Digital Marketing Trends to Try in 2018

Eazi-Apps Support • 21 November 2017

No matter how long ago you explored the Eazi-Apps business opportunity and used it to set up your own app development business, there’s always a host of new techniques and trends to leverage when it comes to digital marketing.

As we reach the end of 2017, your thoughts will likely already have turned to next year and what you can do to grow your app business in 2018. To help you on your way, we’ve rounded up four essential digital marketing trends to factor in to your new digital marketing strategy.

1. New content formats

According to experts at the Content Marketing World expo, new content formats will be a big talking point over the next five years. You don’t have to wait that long though. When working on your content, consider how you can mix up the traditional blog format with slideshares, image galleries and pod or video casts.

2. Live streaming

This one isn’t just for influencers posting Insta-Stories. Live streaming is having a real digital moment and it’s an easy trend to tap into, no matter how well established you are or how recently you leveraged the Eazi-Apps business opportunity. There’s a huge range of tools available to add a professional edge to your live stream, from the likes of Facebook to more specialist solutions. You can also dip your toe in the water and get more comfortable with this type of marketing by trying Instagram Stories or Snap Chat.

3. Video

Video marketing goes hand in hand with live streaming but, requires a little more forward planning and can be more expensive to produce. It’s rapidly gaining consumer popularity though so is well worth exploring if video is an avenue that you haven’t yet utilised. According to Hubspot, “ 78% of people watch videos online every week, and 55% watch videos online every  day . ” Reason enough to make it a digital marketing trend you commit to!

4. Influencer marketing

The term influencer marketing has been around for a while now – Google Trends data shows that interest in the term doubled between January and September this year. Between 2013 and 2016 the number of searches grew by 90x! However, despite this interest influencer marketing has been harder for smaller brands to capitalise on. Now that the practise is more well-established however and micro influencers are starting to command as much respect as the bigger names, it’s safe to say that this is an avenue you’ll want to explore more in the next 12 months. Read our recent blog post on how to find micro influencers for help getting started.
