Your Progression is not on Lockdown

It’s a crazy time to be alive

It’s a crazy time to be alive and a really crazy time to be in business or even worse yet, being at the early stages of starting or going into business as an entrepreneur. The economy is certainly changing and yes, many industries are on temporary hold at the present time for the sake of everyone’s health. But, even if you are involved in one of these stand-still industries, that doesn’t mean your ambitions need to be at a stand still too.
The fault of many entrepreneurs starting out and many early stage businesses is a lack of planning and a lack of preparation. For many the uncertain times ahead with various countries on lockdown protocol and enforced home working, will serve as an opportunity to reflect, rearrange and rebuild. For those just starting out, it promotes additional time to get ready and when the time comes really push for your goals with all you’ve got.
If you own a business
Even if your doors are closed, now is a great time to reflect on how the business is doing and stop to take a breath before re-evaluating the future plans and areas of progression you should focus on. A great starting point would be to look at all of your considered successes and failures in the past 12 months. Write these down. Then look at areas of the business that are doing well and give you motivation. Compare these to areas of the business that are not performing well, bug bears and sticking points. Write all these down also.
Take time with this, don’t rush it. Then add action points to each:
• Write down why your successes happened. What is it that lead to the success?
• What contributed to the failures?
• How can the high performing and motivational areas be built upon and used for further progression?
• How can you remove or lighten some of the burdens and sticking points which plague the business or you personally?
The above exercise forces you to evaluate your business positives and negatives in slightly varying ways and should serve as inspiration to then progress your write up into a plan, a to-do list. Prioritise this, which are the quick wins, and which are long terms goals. Break them down procedurally with what steps you need to take to get them moving.
Then execute it, one at a time if you have to. But what ever you do, don’t let your progress end up on lockdown just because you are.

Your homepage is your agency’s first handshake. If it’s unclear, cluttered, or generic—you’re losing potential clients in seconds. Here's what your homepage actually needs to convert visitors into leads. 1. A Headline That Tells Them What You Do “Helping local businesses grow with mobile apps and digital tools.” Make it specific, client-focused, and benefit-driven. If it could apply to anyone, it applies to no one. 2. A Strong Subheadline That Builds Trust “Trusted by 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 20 countries.” This is your social proof shortcut. Numbers work. So do logos and testimonials. 3. A Visual That Shows the Result Use mockups, screenshots, or lifestyle photos. Help visitors see what they’ll get—a mobile app, a dashboard, a website, a client smiling. 4. A Short List of Benefits (Not Features) Launch your digital presence fast No tech skills required Support and tools included Keep it tight. Think “what’s in it for me?” from the client’s point of view. 5. A Clear Call to Action (CTA) “Book a free call” “Get your launch pack” “See what’s possible” CTAs should stand out visually and be repeated 2–3 times on the page. 6. A Simple Contact Form or Button Make it easy to get in touch or book. Remove friction. Don’t ask for more than name, email, and one question. Pro tip: You don’t need to design from scratch.
