Some Healthy Mental Tips for Start Ups and Entrepreneurs

Rebecca Appleton • 8 October 2019

In this dog eat dog world of budding entrepreneurs and start up firms left right and centre, it’s easy to get caught up in the rat race and forget some of the basics that help to create successful, knowledgeable, healthy businessmen and women. So while some of them may scream cheese at you, don’t forget to practise these absolute basics everyone striving for success should keep in mind. They will help you to ensure you are making the most of your potential when getting underway with our unique Business-In-A-Box mobile app agency opportunity without getting too carried away or missing some of the foundations that build great people.

Perpetual Learning

Great people are often built by knowledge. They will certainly be empowered by it. Many of the most successful and noteworthy individuals of our generation from Steve Jobs and Bill Gates to Elon Musk have attributed much of their success to reading. Steve Jobs for example read an average of 50 books per year (roughly one per week) for much of his adult life.

In order to be a confident and successful person in your industry, it is important to be learning and expanding your own knowledge consistently and constantly. This is a value that many lose once they dive in to their first major venture.

You Have to Spend Money to Make Money

While there are of course exceptions to every rule this one does tend to remain true. Now this tip isn’t about re-mortgaging your house or selling your soul in order to invest in something. It’s a reminder that you get what you pay for and in the case of the vast majority of businesses there will be a sure-fire case of money out before money comes in.

Investing in quality throughout the process of building your business will ensure your reality meets the standards of your vision. After all, there will come a time in which you or your prices are called in to question and you will need to justify the value of what it is you offer to others. You will need to be prepared to spend in order to earn in many cases, even in the very simple case of marketing your business or brand as effectively as possible.

Taking Care of Yourself Not Just Business

Here’s the real cheese. We’ve all head statements like “invest in yourself not just your business” and other pearls like “you can’t take over the world without a good night’s sleep”. They can be easy to dismiss. But the truth is that the underlying message has genuine meaning and is important.

It’s tough out there, striving for success, financial pressures, competing against many other individuals and businesses that all want the same thing. It’s stressful and stress is an underestimated toxic component that if left unchecked, can do substantial damage both mentally and physically over time.

Ensure that no matter how busy your schedule is, that you are making time for yourself. Switch off, relax, exercise and absolutely make sure you are getting a healthy amount of sleep. Your ability to function and stick the grind out for the long haul will be severely depleted if you’re not taking care of yourself along the way.

Your homepage is your agency’s first handshake. If it’s unclear, cluttered, or generic—you’re losing potential clients in seconds. Here's what your homepage actually needs to convert visitors into leads. 1. A Headline That Tells Them What You Do “Helping local businesses grow with mobile apps and digital tools.” Make it specific, client-focused, and benefit-driven. If it could apply to anyone, it applies to no one. 2. A Strong Subheadline That Builds Trust “Trusted by 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 20 countries.” This is your social proof shortcut. Numbers work. So do logos and testimonials. 3. A Visual That Shows the Result Use mockups, screenshots, or lifestyle photos. Help visitors see what they’ll get—a mobile app, a dashboard, a website, a client smiling. 4. A Short List of Benefits (Not Features) Launch your digital presence fast No tech skills required Support and tools included Keep it tight. Think “what’s in it for me?” from the client’s point of view. 5. A Clear Call to Action (CTA) “Book a free call” “Get your launch pack” “See what’s possible” CTAs should stand out visually and be repeated 2–3 times on the page. 6. A Simple Contact Form or Button Make it easy to get in touch or book. Remove friction. Don’t ask for more than name, email, and one question. Pro tip: You don’t need to design from scratch. The Eazi-Business Business-in-a-Box gives you ready-made homepage templates with proven structure, persuasive copy blocks, and branding flexibility. Use our pre-built website framework to launch with confidence and convert faster.
