Pitching to potential clients can be a daunting process. This week’s blog will focus on a few ideas which can serve as a guide to approaching your prospects.

1. Show them an example app; the most effective way to impress a potential client is through an in-person example. Knowing the particular industry, showing a similar app which is live is an easy way to display how it would benefit their business.

2. Create a test app for your client; a great way to impress your potential client is to create their app before you try and sell it to them. This enables the potential client to see first had how the app would work for them and the benefits to their business.

3. Push notifications; explain the use of push notifications and how they are able to get customers inside their business. You can also compare these to SMS marketing – which can prove extremely expensive!

4. Explain how the mobile market is growing; the mobile industry is the fastest growing in history. Share the scale of the industry and remember that mobile devices will overtake laptops and desktops by 2015!

5. Show them the Content Management System; once approved their app works in real time and they will be able to make changes and send push notifications. They will also be able to measure the success of their marketing campaigns through the analytics package.

6. Loyalty and Promotions; our mobile apps can offer cost effective in-app coupons. The camera on mobile devices can read QR codes; which can replace the outdated stamp cards. These coupon systems are specifically designed to help small business gain repeat custom.

7. Help them with marketing their new app; provide an added service to the small business by offering to set up QR codes to place inside their businesses to encourage app downloads by their customers!

8. Explain the cost-effectiveness of having an app; be sure to push the fact that within one hour, their app can be ready for submission. At any time, your client can login and make changes and send push notifications.

9. Keep pricing simple and flexible; have a guide to your pricing structure when you are ready to make a pitch, but be mindful of the financial capabilities of that prospect. Set your own prices but you can offer discounts where you feel they are appropriate.

Following this nine step guide is an easy and effective way to prospect and will undoubtedly help to convert your prospects into real clients!
