New social media platforms to promote your app business

Social media is a fantastic way to raise awareness of your fledging mobile app business after taking up our Business-In-A-Box opportunity. It’s also an incredible way of showcasing your expertise, establishing your authority, connecting with your audience and generating leads.

That said, it can be hard to earn visibility on major platforms like Facebook and Instagram due to the sheer amount of competition when you first get started. You can put budget towards paid activity to speed things along and get in front of more of the right kinds of social media users but – why not also try a few different platforms?

Social media is such a huge industry that new platforms spring up all the time so you’re no longer restricted just to the high profile networks such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. While they are tried and tested with huge user bases, there are also a number of exciting, innovative new social media sites emerging which are well worth adding to your marketing mix.

Here are a few to check out now …

TikTok

You may well have heard of TikTok as it has started to claim lots of column inches this year. Data suggests that it’s quickly building its user base too, with some reports pegging it as the fourth most downloaded app of 2019. This of course means that the audience is there should you wish to explore TikTok as a means of building your new mobile app agency business or make a name for yourself as an entrepreneur.

TikTok is video based, with users uploading short videos to their profiles for others to watch and comment on.

Vero

If you’re one of the millions of users who scroll their Insta feed every day, then Vero could well be in contention for the title of your new favourite social media platform. Vero is a multimedia network and you can share a huge range of content, from images and videos to music, books and even TV shows. Vero is ad free too but does allow Buy Now buttons.

Caffeine

Caffeine is one of our own new discoveries as it was created by a collective of former Apple designs. Caffeine taps into the popularity of the Stores and Live format with good live broadcasting features. It tends to focus on areas such as entertainment and gaming. If you’ve been wanting to try our live streaming, this social network is an excellent testing ground.
