Home Based Business Opportunities

Working from home is the dream of many and when you are running a small business from home it can help you save on thousands in costs every year. You don’t have to pay the rent on an office or the extra insurances that might come with leasing a separate work space.

Being your own boss gives you the freedom to decide on every facet of how you work, but it can open you up to some issues as well. Eazi-Apps knows how important it is to find that perfect work/life balance while you pursue your entrepreneurial dreams so we’ve worked out the Pros and Cons of working from home as well as some solutions to ensure you can continue to live the dream.

No Dress Code

  • Pros;   Working from home means that you can take a casual approach to what you consider to be your work clothes. When meeting clients in person you should always dress appropriately but in your home office you can go to work in whatever makes you the most comfortable and content.
  • Cons; How you’re dressed can impact how you approach your work far more than you might expect. There’s a certain visual impact on seeing yourself and your co-workers in their formal office wear, which mentally prepares you for the work day. Some people struggle with working from home because their comfortable dress style makes it harder for them to snap into ‘work mode’.
  • Solution; You don’t have to wear a suit and tie every day-save that for meetings with clients. But you should get dressed for work. Decide on a dress code that suits you and keeps you in the right frame of mind. Even if you still wear casual clothes, like jeans and a t-shirt, make a point to change into to them for your work hours, and back out of them when your day is done.

You Make Your Own Hours

  • Pros;   You can start and stop work when you like and take breaks when it suits you. You can go to appointments during the day without having to worry you’ll be missed at the office, and a vacation is any day you don’t feel like getting out of bed! Running your business from home gives you absolute control over your work/life balance.
  • Cons; When you are the one in charge of your working hours, it’s only your own motivation that keeps you going. It’s easy to get distracted by those household chores and with the freedom to schedule other appointments or meetings whenever you want, you may find yourself prioritising this time over your work hours. If you’re a procrastinator, working from home opens you up to distractions.
  • Solutions ; Find a working pattern that suits you and stick to it strictly. You might find a 9am-5pm day is actually your best working pattern because now you’re the boss, the hours don’t bother you as much. Or you might find if you work between 10am and 3pm, you’re hyper productive and focussed. Remember, those hours are your office hours so act accordingly- make personal appointments outside those hours, save your household chores until your work is done. You are running a business from home. Treat it like a business.

Work Where You Want

  • Pros; You can have an office in your living room! You can have an office from your bed, make a living while propped up on some pillows you slept on all night! It’s the ultimate in workplace comfort. You can move around from one room to another if you get uncomfortable or bored in one place.
  • Cons; You can have an office from your bed. This one should be fairly obvious. Working from home opens you up to lax and lazy work practices if you don’t have a clear definition of your work and living space. Trying to work in the same space you use to unwind, relax, or even sleep, is going to make it hard to get into ‘work’ thinking.
  • Solution; Obviously, this all depends on where you live and the space you have available. If you can have a distinct, separate office to work from, then do so. Set up a spare room as a dedicated office, arrive here at the start of your day, and leave here at the end. When you are not working, don’t use this room for anything else. If you don’t have a spare room to, you can designate a suitable area in your house as your working desk-even if it’s your dining table. Make sure anyone else at home respects your work space. Make a point to keep this work space distinct from anywhere in your home where you relax-this way, when you’re not working, you can completely switch off and get much needed rest.

Operating a business from home is a great way to make your working life bend around you. But if you’re not disciplined about your practices you may find your business or home life suffering. Following Eazi-Apps invaluable advice will help you work out the rules, practices and policies that will allow you to run a business from home, maintain the professionalism your business needs and ensure you can still switch off when your working day is done.

Your homepage is your agency’s first handshake. If it’s unclear, cluttered, or generic—you’re losing potential clients in seconds. Here's what your homepage actually needs to convert visitors into leads. 1. A Headline That Tells Them What You Do “Helping local businesses grow with mobile apps and digital tools.” Make it specific, client-focused, and benefit-driven. If it could apply to anyone, it applies to no one. 2. A Strong Subheadline That Builds Trust “Trusted by 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 20 countries.” This is your social proof shortcut. Numbers work. So do logos and testimonials. 3. A Visual That Shows the Result Use mockups, screenshots, or lifestyle photos. Help visitors see what they’ll get—a mobile app, a dashboard, a website, a client smiling. 4. A Short List of Benefits (Not Features) Launch your digital presence fast No tech skills required Support and tools included Keep it tight. Think “what’s in it for me?” from the client’s point of view. 5. A Clear Call to Action (CTA) “Book a free call” “Get your launch pack” “See what’s possible” CTAs should stand out visually and be repeated 2–3 times on the page. 6. A Simple Contact Form or Button Make it easy to get in touch or book. Remove friction. Don’t ask for more than name, email, and one question. Pro tip: You don’t need to design from scratch. The Eazi-Business Business-in-a-Box gives you ready-made homepage templates with proven structure, persuasive copy blocks, and branding flexibility. Use our pre-built website framework to launch with confidence and convert faster.
