Banish distractions

With research showing that many of us are now working much longer hours and spending a lot more time in the office than our predecessors, it’s never been more important to stay focused and get your to-do list tackled in as timely a manner as possible. Key to this is banishing distractions.

You might think that a quick scroll through your social media is inconsequential or that having the TV on in the background doesn’t slow you down. In reality, it does. It isn’t just the minutes you lose scrolling or checking out that news segment either – stopping what you’re doing to check in with Facebook or post on LinkedIn takes you away from the task in hand. It disrupts your flow and means you have to absorb yourself in the job again when done – a practise that steals a significant chunk of your time each day.

To stay focused and productive, banish distractions. Set your phone aside and schedule in regular breaks. Use those allotted breaks to check your social media or browse the news and then get back to work.

Invest in time-saving tools

Investing in the right tools can make a world of difference when it comes to staying productive, remaining focused and making the absolute best use of your time. If you struggle to stay organised for example and routinely have to hunt around for files or contact information, investing in a CRM system and a project management tool such as Trello or Basecamp makes total sense and can help you work smarter, not harder.

Get into a routine

While no two days will ever be exactly alike, establishing a routine that works for you can make all the difference and mean that you no longer get to 5pm with an important to-do still sitting on your list. If you work better in the mornings, get into the habit of rising early and tackling the hardest or most time-consuming jobs first when you’re at your best. Then leave the afternoon for less absorbing tasks such as responding to emails or tackling admin.

Some entrepreneurs also find it helps to set time slots for taking calls or checking email rather than being ‘on’ all day. Experiment to find what works for you and then design your working day accordingly.

Starting a new business can be time-consuming and difficult. The first challenge is to find or build a great product or service that your customers need. You will also need to create a brand, develop marketing collateral, design a website, find customers, and develop a range of new skills. You will most likely have to hire a team of experts to help you get started.

Your homepage is your agency’s first handshake. If it’s unclear, cluttered, or generic—you’re losing potential clients in seconds. Here's what your homepage actually needs to convert visitors into leads. 1. A Headline That Tells Them What You Do “Helping local businesses grow with mobile apps and digital tools.” Make it specific, client-focused, and benefit-driven. If it could apply to anyone, it applies to no one. 2. A Strong Subheadline That Builds Trust “Trusted by 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 20 countries.” This is your social proof shortcut. Numbers work. So do logos and testimonials. 3. A Visual That Shows the Result Use mockups, screenshots, or lifestyle photos. Help visitors see what they’ll get—a mobile app, a dashboard, a website, a client smiling. 4. A Short List of Benefits (Not Features) Launch your digital presence fast No tech skills required Support and tools included Keep it tight. Think “what’s in it for me?” from the client’s point of view. 5. A Clear Call to Action (CTA) “Book a free call” “Get your launch pack” “See what’s possible” CTAs should stand out visually and be repeated 2–3 times on the page. 6. A Simple Contact Form or Button Make it easy to get in touch or book. Remove friction. Don’t ask for more than name, email, and one question. Pro tip: You don’t need to design from scratch. The Eazi-Business Business-in-a-Box gives you ready-made homepage templates with proven structure, persuasive copy blocks, and branding flexibility. Use our pre-built website framework to launch with confidence and convert faster.
