What Changes Will iOS 11 Bring for App Developers?

Among the announcements at Apple’s recent keynote was the unveiling of the latest iOS 11 operating system, which will come pre-installed on the new range of iPhones. App developers and users around the world have been intrigued by this announcement, as everyone tries to figure out what effect Apple’s new tech will have on the industry.

For its part, Apple has claimed that the newest iteration of its operating system will revolutionise the user experience. Here we take a look at a few of the new features and see what you can expect from iOS 11 as a mobile app business.

Control Centre

The new control centre design has been streamlined to allow for more tools and widgets. This allows users to seamlessly switch things on and off when using apps that require certain permissions.

Wi-Fi sharing

Instead of having to read out a long list of letters and numbers, iPhone users can now share their home Wi-Fi password by simply tapping their device against another. This will make using Wi-Fi-based interactive games a lot easier.

New keyboard

The new keyboard features ‘Flick Keys’ which allows users to type out symbols by simply swiping down on a letter key. This is particularly interesting for both app developers and users especially those building and using apps in which the keyboard feature is regularly used, such as communication apps or text document apps.

Handwriting detection

The new operating system has been updated with improved software that can recognise handwritten words on a picture and translate it into digital text. This new capability will open the door for countless new apps and inventive concepts.

Object tracking

iOS 11 features a powerful object tracking ability which allows it to detect and identify objects in real time through Vision technology. This futuristic concept means that, theoretically, an app could exist which allows users to point their camera at household objects and their phone would automatically present online shopping options or even order the item automatically.

Advanced push notifications

Apple has made more advancements to the capabilities of push notifications. Even while in the lock screen, an iOS 11 user can now like, comment or even view photographs without opening an app. This offers a lot of potential to developers and makes for a more convenient user experience.

There is much to be said about the long list of new features that iOS 11 will bring to iPhone users. Whether you like them or not, there’s no denying the new software will open the door for a whole new generation of apps and content.

Your homepage is your agency’s first handshake. If it’s unclear, cluttered, or generic—you’re losing potential clients in seconds. Here's what your homepage actually needs to convert visitors into leads. 1. A Headline That Tells Them What You Do “Helping local businesses grow with mobile apps and digital tools.” Make it specific, client-focused, and benefit-driven. If it could apply to anyone, it applies to no one. 2. A Strong Subheadline That Builds Trust “Trusted by 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 20 countries.” This is your social proof shortcut. Numbers work. So do logos and testimonials. 3. A Visual That Shows the Result Use mockups, screenshots, or lifestyle photos. Help visitors see what they’ll get—a mobile app, a dashboard, a website, a client smiling. 4. A Short List of Benefits (Not Features) Launch your digital presence fast No tech skills required Support and tools included Keep it tight. Think “what’s in it for me?” from the client’s point of view. 5. A Clear Call to Action (CTA) “Book a free call” “Get your launch pack” “See what’s possible” CTAs should stand out visually and be repeated 2–3 times on the page. 6. A Simple Contact Form or Button Make it easy to get in touch or book. Remove friction. Don’t ask for more than name, email, and one question. Pro tip: You don’t need to design from scratch. The Eazi-Business Business-in-a-Box gives you ready-made homepage templates with proven structure, persuasive copy blocks, and branding flexibility. Use our pre-built website framework to launch with confidence and convert faster.
