5 Tips For Becoming More Persuasive!

A group of business people are sitting around a table shaking hands.

Mastering the art of persuasion is a key skill every successful business owner aspires to achieve. Having the ability to influence and persuade people at all levels and in all walks of life certainly opens up many opportunities for the modern entrepreneur. With this being the case, the focus of this week’s blog is to highlight 5 sure fire ways you can become more persuasive in 2014:

• Immediate Benefit

Making the benefit as immediate and obvious to your potential customers is vitally important in persuading them to share your view point. Very few people will ever take action based on a benefit that will only be receivable far in the future. As humans, we are constantly looking for immediate satisfaction over long term gratification. Try to make your sales pitch emphasise how a customer will experience an instant impact from purchasing from you.

• Personal Touch

It commonly accepted that people buy from people. All customers appreciate the personal touch and want to be valued customers. The personal touch helps sell any product or service, rather than a grand concept for example. Always ensure that you’re aware of dealing with people on a personal level to build trust and rapport with your customers.

• Your Customer’s Values

It is very difficult to change what other people believe as those beliefs have been reinforced over a significant time frame. However, if you can convey your message in such a way that it taps into their existing mind-set, you will grab your customers attention. When communicating any message, ensure that the benefit is something that others seek. Any product or service being sold needs to be something that the customer will need.

• Competition

Although we all believe in the products/services we sell, think objectively about your latest offering. Is it something that people actually need? Is it better than the competition? Is it available for free elsewhere? There is a reason people are not taking the action you desire as people may already be satisfying their needs through the competition. Try to position your benefit differently to the status quo.

• Credibility

People need to believe in what you are communicating and have trust in your product/service. Try to enhance your credibility by gathering positive testimonials from existing customers for instance or maybe an industry leading expert. Furthermore, you could try to give your potential customers a true life case study of how your product/service has benefitted a past customer. Always persuade people by keeping your promises.

By following some of the principles above, you will see your powers of persuasion increase in 2014. To find out how Eazi-Apps can assist you in persuading business owners to go mobile, contact us today.

Your homepage is your agency’s first handshake. If it’s unclear, cluttered, or generic—you’re losing potential clients in seconds. Here's what your homepage actually needs to convert visitors into leads. 1. A Headline That Tells Them What You Do “Helping local businesses grow with mobile apps and digital tools.” Make it specific, client-focused, and benefit-driven. If it could apply to anyone, it applies to no one. 2. A Strong Subheadline That Builds Trust “Trusted by 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 20 countries.” This is your social proof shortcut. Numbers work. So do logos and testimonials. 3. A Visual That Shows the Result Use mockups, screenshots, or lifestyle photos. Help visitors see what they’ll get—a mobile app, a dashboard, a website, a client smiling. 4. A Short List of Benefits (Not Features) Launch your digital presence fast No tech skills required Support and tools included Keep it tight. Think “what’s in it for me?” from the client’s point of view. 5. A Clear Call to Action (CTA) “Book a free call” “Get your launch pack” “See what’s possible” CTAs should stand out visually and be repeated 2–3 times on the page. 6. A Simple Contact Form or Button Make it easy to get in touch or book. Remove friction. Don’t ask for more than name, email, and one question. Pro tip: You don’t need to design from scratch. The Eazi-Business Business-in-a-Box gives you ready-made homepage templates with proven structure, persuasive copy blocks, and branding flexibility. Use our pre-built website framework to launch with confidence and convert faster.
